It’s strange to think that our childhood shapes the course of our lives. We used to dream of being princesses, astronauts, or even dinosaurs. And while we don’t see as many triceratops around as we’d like, we never lose the ability to grow and innovate.

Nelson Mandela once said, “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.”

Maybe those weren’t his exact words, but that message reached my heart. The South African leader truly saw the people he spoke to. And when you connect with your audience, one person’s intent can become everyone’s shared purpose.
